That's what he called himself - Asia Prince. I don't know whether he is a truly an Asia Prince but his popularity in Asia especially in Japan is tremendous.

From the interview with Japanese fans in the documentary, Japanese people from all aged like Jamg Keun Suk because of his ability to speak in Japanese very well and being and expressing his true self. Some said that his drama's characters is kind of similar with his character so they can connect the character well with him.

In my own opinion, I think the reason why Japanese people love him is because the way he interact and, of course, communicate with his fans. He even spend some time to meet those fans who waiting outside stadium after he finished rehearsal just for short interact.

Maybe his way of interaction cannot be seen from other Japanese celebrity which seem like a bit reserved (correct me if I'm wrong).

Becoming Hallyu Star Alone

There's not so many Korean Idol or celebrity that can achieve popularity like Jang Keun Suk achieved in Japan. He entered Japan market alone by himself not like others that have group member to share the loneliness and problem with.

Even though you're not his fan, I believe if you watch his documentary, you will also think that he deserve the success right now.
