I Need Romance 3: Episode 1

I don't have the urge to write this drama review at first. But this drama is sooo good that I have to write something about it. And I fell in love with Sungjoon...'s character. Hehe. The storyline is good and also the songs. I have to write about the songs in another post.

First episode started with a nice song from Peppermoon, Peu a Peu. It's a French song. I read the lyric translation in Naver. The song really fit the story with a cute and lovely rhythm and lyric.

Like every first episode in drama, we slowly get to know the characters and how they link to each other.

I Need Romance 3 characters guide

Joo Yeon (Sing Sing): Joo Wan's first love. Tae Yoon's junior (hoobae). Boss for Min Jung, Hee Jae and Woo Young. Ex-friend Se Ryeong.

Joo Wan (Sweet Potato/Allen): Like Sing Sing. Work together with Se Ryeong.

Tae Yoon: Joo Yeon's senior. Ex-boyfriend Se Ryeong.

Se Ryeong: Ex-girlfriend Tae Yoon. Work together with Joo Wan. Ex-friend Joo Yeon.

Episode 1: A Woman who looks like Sing Sing.

Start with Joo Wan narration on how he get the Sweet Potato nickname. Sing Sing give him the nickname because she said he is ugly when he was born and looks like a sweet potato. Sing Sing was 7 when Joo Wan was born.

Joo Wan spent his first 10 years of life growing up with Sing Sing before he move to US with his family. His childhood memory is all about Sing Sing. She taught him piano. She taught him to express feeling and emotion through music. To him, Sing Sing is a smart, pure and warm hearted woman. He finally come back to Korea after 17 years because he promise Sing Sing he will come back.

Unfortunately, Sing Sing don't feel the same way as Joo Wan. She hate him because he reminds her her miserable childhood past. Her mother took care of Joo Wan before to earn living since his parents busy with work and his mother help her family to buy them house. But most of the time, it was Sing Sing who take care of him. Carry him on her back for hours to stop him from crying.

And now her mother want her to let Joo Wan stay in her house while he is in Korea. When Joo Wan call her, she just let him know straight to the point that she doesn't want him to stay with her because she hate him. Seriously hate him but he miss her and want to see her.

Sing Sing or her real name, Joo Yeon, meet Joo Wan at brand launching party but she doesn't know he is Joo Wan because she only know he is Allen Joo, a talented composer with number 9 Billboard chart song (Now and Forever). Joo Wan doesn't believe she is Sing Sing too because she's totally different from Sing Sing that he remember until he learn that her name is Shin Joo Yeon. So, she is really Sing Sing.

Comments:

At the party, Joo Yeon try to seduce Joo Wan just because she doesn't want to lose to Se Ryeong. Kah! If only she know that he is her sweet potato.

Now, I kind of regret not to babysit any baby boy when I was young. Lost potential sweet lover. Haha!
